Selected enterprise customers can access three OpenAI models through Google Cloud, while broader availability and other agent integrations are still planned.

OpenAI and Google Cloud announced a partnership on October 21 to make OpenAI frontier models available through Google Cloud's Model Garden, providing another way for enterprise developers to obtain AI model access. Google says GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna are starting in private preview for selected enterprise customers, rather than being generally available. OpenAI says it plans general availability in the coming weeks.

Google says participating developers can use its APIs to build with the models and connect local Codex CLI and desktop workflows to Google's Gemini platform for inference. Integrations with Google Antigravity and Google's Gemini business agent remain planned for later, according to the announcements.

OpenAI says customers will be able to purchase model access through Google Cloud Marketplace and use eligible existing Google Cloud spending commitments. Google says usage will appear on a single cloud invoice and describes identity-based auditing and isolated infrastructure as part of the platform's enterprise controls. Google also identifies confidential computing and zero-data-retention options as forthcoming rather than currently included in this preview.

OpenAI specifically states that Microsoft remains its primary cloud partner. The immediate development is a limited new enterprise distribution channel, with wider access still subject to the companies' rollout plans.
